Friends, I have BIG news: I recently adopted another dog! A Treeing Walker Coonhound to be specific, and boy is she cute! We brought Millie home on Saturday and she is already settling right in. Our German Shepard, Tux, isn't her biggest fan (yet!), but I have faith that in good time they will be the best of friends!
The first thing I did when I brought Millie home was take her and Tux for a nice long walk in the snow. I noticed about halfway through the walk, however, that Millie was shaking! It didn't even occur to me that she might get cold since I'm used to having a dog with very thick, lush fur.
I brought her home and gave her a warm winter jacket and hat so we could continue our walk, and the shaking stopped!
So let this serve as a reminder this winter- our fur babies get cold too! Make sure they have proper gear for the winter!
